The Best in Bed
P.A.'s all Time Favourits

Why does everybody want to sleep with me? It's an easy answer really -
the fit, the fabric and the story of Peter Alexander. For nearly 40 years I've been perfecting my PJs which makes me not only 'great in bed' - people often tell me I'm the 'BEST' (I am of course talking professionally only!).

Reflecting on my first 20 years in the pyjama game, I'm bringing back this archive of P.A.'s 10 most iconic prints. Here are the stories of how your favourites came to life.

A boy who likes to dream. Not even dyslxeia (is that right?!) or a bad stutter could stop me. I used to dream I could fly - and still do!

Always had my head in the clouds

It all started off with the spot, closely followed by the cloud print. A P.A. icon, inspired by the cloud print suit Prince wore in a video clip, that changed my life!

I LOVE animals - creatures big and small, but dogs are my favourite. So, I started making dog prints (and was obsessed!), which are now a staple in my collections.

In the 90's one of my favourite Australian fashion brands was Alannah Hill - I got inspired to create a pretty and feminine print, just like her.

We all had a Rubber Duckie as a kid, and I loved watching Sesame Street as Ernie used to sing "Rubber Duckie you're the one". When I saw one sitting next to the bath in a hotel it brought a smile to my face - as these PJs still do.

Who is that cute sausage dog on my pyjamas you may ask? That's my first pet! Penelope Jane (AKA Penny) instantly stole my heart and soon became my brand mascot. Penny appears almost everywhere - on PJs, gift packaging and even the P.A. shopping bag.

I'm all about nostalgia and have always found teddy bears comforting (I know I'm not the only one!). This soft washed fabric is just like a teddy bear cuddle.

Leopard prints have always been in fashion, but not in sleepwear - I had to change that! I've done lots of leopard prints but this is my favourite - it's playful which reminds me of my dog, Doug (such a handsome boy... isn't he adorable?!).

After nearly 40 years in the pyjama game I think it's safe to say that I've earned my stripes! I love dreaming up new prints and looking around the world for inspiration to create designs for you.

I never thought all of my dreams could come true, but things just keep getting better!

Sweet Dreams,

Peter XX
